A Spooktacular Evening of Family Fun for a Great Cause!

Saturday, October 31, 2026 | 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Franklin Town Park | Franklin, Arkansas

Get ready, Franklin! Halloween is approaching, and we're preparing for an evening filled with laughter, costumes, games, candy, prizes, and plenty of spooky surprises!

The Town of Franklin is excited to invite everyone to Our First Annual Franklinstein Park Spooktacular, a family-friendly community celebration that brings neighbors, families, local businesses, and volunteers together for a wonderful cause.

And the best part? ADMISSION, GAMES, AND ACTIVITIES ARE FREE!

While we're planning an evening of fun, there's an important purpose behind the celebration.

A Great Time for an Even Greater Cause

This year's Franklinstein Park Spooktacular is a community fundraiser benefiting Franklin Fire Station's New Roof.

Our volunteer firefighters dedicate their time and energy to protecting our community. Now we have an opportunity to come together and help improve the facility that supports their work.

Proceeds from food sales, our auction, and donations will help support this important project.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to our goal.

Free Games, Activities, and Halloween Fun!

We've been working to put together an enjoyable evening for children, families, and adults alike.

Some of the activities planned include:

  • Cornhole: Enjoy a little friendly competition!

  • Halloween Limbo: See how low you can go with a spooky twist.

  • Face Painting: Add a little Halloween magic to your evening.

  • Glow-in-the-Dark Temporary Tattoos: A fun Halloween favorite.

  • Candy Tables: Visit decorated tables and collect Halloween treats.

  • Halloween Photo Opportunities: Capture memories with our themed photo backgrounds.

  • Costumes Everywhere: Come dressed in your favorite Halloween outfit and enjoy the fun!

We're also working to bring the excitement of a Headless Horseman Hayride to the celebration, subject to final staffing and safety arrangements.

There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the festivities, spend time with neighbors, and make Halloween memories.

Halloween Costume Contest — 6:15 PM

One of the evening's featured attractions will be our costume contest!

We're looking forward to seeing all the creativity, imagination, and Halloween spirit our participants bring.

The contest will include the following age groups:

  • Ages 0–3

  • Ages 4–8

  • Ages 9–14

  • Ages 15 and older

Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each category.

Whether your costume is spooky, funny, creative, or completely unexpected, we encourage you to participate!

Costume contest begins at 6:15 PM.

Pumpkin Carving Contest

Calling all pumpkin artists!

Bring your already-carved Halloween masterpiece and enter our pumpkin carving contest.

Important Contest Times:

  • 5:00 PM — Deadline to drop off carved pumpkins.

  • 5:15 PM — Judging begins.

  • 6:00 PM — Winners announced.

There will be three winning placements in each contest category.

Get creative and show us what you can do with a pumpkin!

Awesome Prizes!

We have been fortunate to receive support from businesses and individuals helping make our contests even more exciting.

Planned prizes include pizza, bowling vouchers, putt-putt golf vouchers, medals, and other donated surprises.

Prizes will be awarded according to contest categories and placements, with availability dependent on final donations.

We appreciate everyone helping us provide memorable experiences for our participants.

Live Auction — Beginning at 5:45 PM

Be sure to check out our live auction!

Community members and businesses have been invited to contribute auction items to help raise money for Franklin Fire Station's New Roof.

This is an opportunity to bid on something special while supporting a worthwhile local cause.

The live auction is scheduled to begin at 5:45 PM.

Every successful bid helps our fundraising effort!

Hungry? We've Got You Covered!

You won't have to leave the festivities to enjoy a simple meal.

$5 Hot Dog Combo

For just $5, you'll receive:

One hot dog + chips + a drink

Enjoy an affordable meal while supporting our volunteer fire department's building improvements.

Admission and event games are free. Food, auction purchases, and donation-based items help support the fundraiser.

Franklinstein Souvenirs and Giveaways

We're planning a selection of fun event-themed items available in exchange for donations.

Depending on availability, these may include:

  • Franklinstein stickers

  • Buttons

  • Key chains

  • Event T-shirts

  • Bubbles

  • Large glow-in-the-dark bouncy balls

These items are offered for donations to support the fundraiser rather than as free merchandise.

The glow-in-the-dark temporary tattoo activity is also planned as part of our free event activities.

Listen for Us on Outlaw 106.5!

We're excited that our Franklinstein Park Spooktacular is hitting the radio!

Outlaw 106.5 FM will be airing a 30-second advertisement every hour for six days, continuing through the event.

This exciting opportunity has been made possible through a promotional partnership with AJ's Automotive & Diesel Repair LLC.

We want to extend an enormous thank-you to AJ's Automotive & Diesel Repair LLC for sponsoring this radio advertisement and helping us reach even more families throughout the area.

We also sincerely thank Outlaw 106.5 for being part of this special community event.

Their support helps us spread the word about Franklinstein and, most importantly, about the fundraising effort benefiting our volunteer fire station.

We appreciate businesses that recognize the importance of supporting small rural communities like ours!

Our Community Is What Makes This Possible

An event of this size takes more than decorations, games, and pumpkins. It takes people willing to give their time, resources, and talents.

We are grateful to the businesses, individuals, and volunteers who have stepped forward to help.

Support has included contributions and commitments involving candy, contest prizes, auction items, advertising, materials, and volunteer assistance.

We especially appreciate the businesses and residents who are planning to decorate tables and distribute candy, along with everyone helping with activities, contests, setup, and cleanup.

We want every person and business who contributes to know that their support matters.

We plan to recognize and personally thank the individuals and businesses who donate or volunteer.

Would You Like to Help?

There's still an opportunity to become part of Franklinstein!

We welcome assistance with:

  • Individually wrapped candy for distribution.

  • Contest prizes and gift certificates.

  • Items suitable for our live auction.

  • Businesses or individuals willing to decorate tables and hand out candy.

  • Volunteers to help supervise games and activities.

  • Assistance with event setup and cleanup.

  • Monetary donations benefiting the fire station roof project.

Whether you donate an item, volunteer an hour, or help spread the word, you are contributing to the success of this community fundraiser.

Tables and chairs can be made available to participating businesses and volunteers as arrangements permit.
