Maintaining the Streets of Our Town

The Franklin Street Department is dedicated to ensuring safe and reliable travel throughout our community. We strive to provide safe, well-maintained streets for the traveling public of Franklin through pavement preservation, improved signage, and roadside vegetation control, while ensuring compliance with MUTCD & FHWA standards. The Street Department is also responsible for maintenance and repairs on the city's other facilities, such as the City Park, our 2 Fire Departments, and the Community Building. We take pride in preserving the foundations that make our town a beautiful place to live. We have an independent contractor, Albert Ashford, who brings several years of experience in highway maintenance, ranging from winter weather operations to interstate emergency response.
